Fun in the Salvesen Lab

I spent an entire day last week in the Salvesen Lab over at Sanford-Burnham. It was really cool to observe a hardcore biochemistry lab, and I learned a lot about working with caspases in vitro. Their stance is that cells are merely a “test tube with a fancy membrane”. Not sure what my colleagues at the Moores Cancer Center would say about that…
