This last week carried some pretty cool experiences. There was the second Caspase-8 Symposium, held at the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute, where Dr. Jill Lahti , a guru of Neuroblastoma research, was the keynote speaker.
The next day, Dr. Lahti, my mentor, a pediatric oncologist, a clinical histopathologist, and I got together at Rady Children’s Hospital and learned a bit about Caspase 8 and Neuroblastoma.
It’s exciting and motivating, to say the least. And now, it’s crunch time!
